H1N1 Influenza Resources

The H1N1 influenza virus, also known as swine flu, is a new form of flu virus that appeared in early 2009. It is expected to be widespread during the 2009/10 flu season. A vaccine should be available by mid-October, with priority given to those who statistically appear most vulnerable to this form of the virus.

The following sources are trusted, reliable places to find information on the status of the H1N1 virus and current research.

Centers for Disease Control H1N1 Information
The CDC, which is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, conducts research and investigations into disease and other public health hazards. They have taken the lead in coordinating efforts to control and contain the spread of the H1N1 flu virus.
New Hampshire DHHS Swine Flu
NH's Department of Health and Human Services is in charge of coordinating information about the virus in NH, as well as overseeing the distribution of vaccines.
EbscoHost Flu Information Center
EBSCOhost provides access to peer-reviewed and premium information on a variety of topics. Their collection of influenza related information has been made free to the public this season due to the H1N1 virus.
