Community Partnerships & Outreach

The library is pleased to work together with many community and wider organizations to bring programs, extra materials and other opportunities to our patrons. Tax filing assistance, historical programming, a circulating telescope, blood drives, class visits and more are all made possible through our collaboration with local Hudson and NH organizations. If your organization is interested in offering a program or other partnership with us, please contact our Adult Services Librarian Amy Friedman or our Library Director Linda Pilla.

Recent and Ongoing Partnerships:

VITA

From late January to April, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) volunteers are at the library during the week helping people to complete and file their income tax forms.

DCU Concert Series

Thanks to a generous grant from Digital Federal Credit Union, the library is pleased to host a free concert series on the second Saturday of each month 2-3:30PM.

Hannaford Supermarkets

The library has had the privilege of being the “Hannaford Helps” bag recipient organization for a number of months in 2016. For every special “Hannaford Helps” bag purchased during the designated month at the Hudson Hannaford, the library receives $1.

Hudson School District

All Hudson teachers and students are eligible for library cards; Hudson teachers are also welcome to arrange class visits and tours for their students.

Outreach

The library staff are excited to visit locations and events around the Hudson area!

Staff are often out and about in town, conducting programs at other locations, visiting local schools or manning a booth at community events. Stop by and say hello if you see us. We can do everything from a presentation on library resources, a talk on ebooks and mobile devices, storytime, and book discussions to plain old library card signups. If you are running a community event or would like to invite library staff to come to your location for a regular or one-off program, please contact us!

Places we have been spotted:

  • Community Celebrations: Look for the Rodgers Library booth at Old Home Days, school events and more!
  • HCTV: Adult Services Librarian Amy Friedman stars in a monthly promotional spot talking about goings on at the library.
